Graduates will fill permanent placements commencing February 2018. Internship opportunities will commence in July 2017.
Applications for the Graduate & Internship Program 2017/2018 will open in February 2017. To apply, click here.
Please note that we only accept applications from Australian Permanent Residents and Citizens. For further information regarding our process and program please see below.
Graduate recruitment at Vincents is an exciting time for our candidates as well as for the Vincents family. Typically, we receive in excess of 200 applications and our HR team review each and every one.
This is a thorough process and through this we select candidates who meet our selection criteria to attend an assessment centre followed by an exclusive graduate networking event. Candidates get to mingle with Vincents staff members from recent grads through to Directors.
The final selection process is completed with one-to-one interviews with a Director and a HR representative. This usually takes place within five days of our Networking event.
Successful candidates traditionally start in February of the following year, although mid-year opportunities may arise from time to time.
Initially, our graduates are offered a placement in one of our specialist business units, namely:
1. Forensic Services
2. Business Advisory
3. Insolvency & Reconstruction
4. Assurance & Risk Advisory
We place each graduate accountant in a position that compliments their interests and skill set. For this reason, it may be appropriate for graduates to experience another area of Vincents, i.e. we may feel you could benefit from exposure to work in another area or you may have a desire to spread your scope of experience. Subject to availability and satisfactory performance, we will accommodate requests for a ‘rotation’ in another business unit at the end of the first 12 months.
We developed a specific paid internship program in 2015 to allow students an opportunity to gain genuine work placement whilst also allowing us to connect with potential employees earlier in their study journey.
The Internship commences around July and continues for 12 weeks. Typically within the 12 week period you are placed in two business units for approximately 6 weeks each. Placements may be available across all business units and students will have real opportunities to engage in quality work during their time within the firm. We try and accommodate at least one preferred unit depending on availability. Last year our interns worked across our Assurance & Risk Advisory, Business Advisory, Forensic Services and Financial Advisory (based in Upper Mount Gravatt) units. At the conclusion of your placement with us, there is potential for an ongoing opportunity in one of our business units.

“The Vincents Internship Program gave me valuable exposure to multiple service lines and allowed me to work alongside some of the leading industry experts. I was warmly welcomed by everyone right from the beginning and provided with continual guidance and support throughout the 12 weeks. I never felt like I was thrown into the deep end and could not approach someone. My internship program resulted in the offer of a full time position in the Business Advisory unit where I am really thriving. I would recommend Vincents’ internship program to anyone looking to kick start their accounting career!”
Kristin Taylor, Accountant, Business Advisory
“The role has met the expectations which were presented during the recruitment process. At Vincents, culture and work life balance are not just buzz words but are actually a core part of the firm. Responsibility and autonomy with ample support have been provided to me from day one and I feel there is significant opportunity for growth within the firm.”
