Expertise

Chris is a Director with Vincents and has over 20 years’ experience in delivering client-focused governance solutions, with a focus on internal audit, risk management, regulatory compliance, probity assurance, program assurance and program management. Throughout Chris’ career he has placed a high emphasis on client service, relationship management, good governance and ethics. This has seen him regularly engaged by the ACT and Commonwealth governments on challenging and important engagements, including briefing Ministers’ Offices regarding probity and ethical conduct, facilitating business continuity and disaster recovery tests for departments and agencies, and reporting to both Audit Committees and Department Secretaries on large value and transformative government programs.

Background

Prior to joining Vincents, Chris was employed with Leidos Australia providing assurance, governance and project management advisory services to large information and communication technology projects at the Departments of Defence and Home Affairs. He also advised Leidos on quality management processes for the delivery of services to the Australian Taxation Office. This role followed over 10 years of professional practice experience in Canberra, providing services to a wide range of government clients and leading the client delivery and office management for several firms. Chris was the internal audit director responsible for client delivery to the Department of Environment, Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet and led grant and probity advisory activities for large projects at the Departments of Social Services, Health, Immigration and Defence. Major programs and projects assured by Chris include:

  • National criminal intelligence system (home affairs)
  • Welfare payments infrastructure transformation (human services)
  • A new way of doing grants (social services)
