SMSF lending
A self-managed super fund (SMSF) loan can be used to buy an investment property (residential or commercial). The returns on the investment (rental income or capital gains) are then funnelled back into the super fund, increasing your retirement savings.
Investing in property within superannuation is not as straightforward as other kinds of investments. Borrowing or gearing your super into property involves very strict borrowing conditions (called limited recourse borrowing arrangement), and you can only purchase a single asset within this arrangement.
