In a move to meet the increasing demand of a core service line and the local market, we are pleased to announce that Vincents has bolstered our ranks.
Last month we concluded negotiations that have since seen Canberra-based accounting and advisory firm, MCS Accounting, join our expanding national practice from 1 January 2018.
The MCS group, incorporating MCS Accounting and MCS Audit Pty Ltd, was founded in Canberra in 2011 by Phillip Miller.
With over 25 years in the public practice accounting industry, Mr Miller heads the high-performing practice of five staff, who have a focus on delivering specialist audit services to a diverse client base, as well as taxation, superannuation and financial advisory services.
The focus on audit expertise and delivery complements Vincents’ strategy to boost our assurance and risk advisory arm, which has grown exponentially in the last 12 months in Canberra.
“Phillip and the team at MCS are bringing to us an even greater level of expertise in the assurance and risk advisory sphere, which is what we’re looking for,” Managing Director David Rose said.
“As our operations on the eastern seaboard continue to grow from strength to strength, we are delighted at the opportunity to bulk up with great talent that holds dear client values mirroring our own,” Mr Rose said.
MCS is similarly eyeing growth and strength from the move, Mr Miller said.
“After 6 years of natural business growth we are probably at a crossroads, where our portfolio is a reasonable size and needs to move to another level,” Mr Miller said.
“Joining Vincents gives both our staff and our clients a national reach, added specialties and even greater range of expertise that comes with the move to a healthy, humming network,” he said.
MCS and Vincents have negotiated a move into larger office space to cope with the growth in Canberra, with a move and full integration to be complete by early April 2018.
