QLD SMALL BUSINESS WISHES GRANTED | 3 grant programs worth $25 million available

Like a financial genie rising from the Arabian sands and granting three wishes, the Queensland Government has announced three new small business grants programs based on direct feedback received from the sector.

Worth over $25 million over the next 2 years, these grants aim to target specific demographics and are being rolled out as a result of data collected from small business owners through the Small Business Roadshow which revealed that support programs were essential to assist Queensland businesses at different stages of their lifecycles.

What’s on offer?

The following grants will be available to eligible Queensland small businesses:

GRANT AIMS VALUE APPLICATIONS OPEN
BUSINESS BASICS GRANT To support new and emerging businesses to increase core capabilities and adopt current best practice. Up to $5,000 May 31, 2021
BUSINESS BOOST GRANT To help small businesses to improve their efficiency and productivity through organisational development and upgrades through automated software and CRM systems. Grants can be used for website development and upgrades, strategic marketing, training and coaching, advisory services and planning for business continuity and succession. Up to $15,000 Late July 2021
BUSINESS GROWTH FUND GRANT To allow businesses to buy highly specialised equipment to seize and accelerate growth opportunities. Up to $50,000 May 11, 2021

How can I apply?

Small business operators should visit the Business Queensland Website to access the grants schedule as well as guidelines and eligibility information for the Business Growth Fund to get ready for the application process.

Guidelines are already available for the Business Growth Fund grant.
